Cost for Retail Design: $ 3,000,000.00
This project included the complete design of the interior lobby spaces throughout the 50-story office tower. The use of high quality, durable materials has allowed the lobby spaces to be like new even today, some 14 years later. The maintenance and high volume of traffic in the Arts District Building has not inhibited the stately grace of the interior spaces. Carrera marble flooring, mahogany wood paneling, bronze detailing and reinforced fiberglass ceilings have given the building a sense of permanence and pride that was very important to the Trammell Crow Company.
The cove lighting details enhanced the warmth of the large lobby spaces and softened the ambiance of the lobbies. Security cameras were built into the ceilings and fire annunciation panels were integrated into the carefully detailed information desk.
The integration of retail spaces off the lobby and open curved atrium space around the elevators make the first floor lobby quite successful for several restaurants and retail stores.
