A draft scope of work submitted to the city last Friday, reveals two new towers that would rise about 360 feet apiece and contain space for office, retail, residential, and a banquet hall/event area for community use.
The program also includes a brand new 48,000-square-foot space for the Museum of Civil Rights (MCR), a long-standing institution founded by Reverend Al Sharpton.

Located at Vernon Boulevard and 43rd Street, Teitelbaum believes his $250 million, six-acre project designed by SHoP Architects will provide thousands of jobs while cutting carbon emissions by 70 percent and supplying energy to the Queensbridge Houses, the largest public housing complex in the country.

The Cuomo administration is tapping two discretionary funds to steer nearly $47 million to an outlet mall on Staten Island, a multi-pronged subsidy that increased after the developers contributed $85,000 to the governor's campaign.
The Empire State Development corporation last month approved $21.9 million in subsidies for Empire Outlets [...] That's on top of a $25 million grant awarded last April by the state's Dormitory Authority.

Billionaire mortgage mogul and real estate maven Dan Gilbert's skyscraper slated for downtown Detroit may grow by more than 100 feet to 912 feet tall, Crain's has learned.
While the final height has not yet been determined, Joe Guziewicz, vice president of construction for Gilbert's Bedrock LLC, confirmed that it will be taller than the 800 feet that was previously announced as the company looks to get "the most flexibility for how we use it and how we program it."
