Moved to Care competition winners highlight the importance of safe healthcare for all
No matter what country you live in, everyone deserves access to safe and secure healthcare. Re-emphasizing this global issue is Building Trust International's Moved to Care competition, which sought feasible design solutions for a portable healthcare facility for high-demand regions in Southeast Asia.
The final proposals of the 10 shortlisted Rebuild by Design teams
The 10 Rebuild by Design finalist teams -- including BIG, WXY + West 8, OMA, Sasaki Associates, Interboro Partners -- spent the past eight months doing intensive research and engaging with local communities to find local and resilient solutions to rebuild the Eastern Seaboard cities affected by Hurricane Sandy.

2013 AIM winners for rebuilding April ‘13 quake site in China
Architects In Mission (AIM) recently revealed the winners of their 2013 "Post Earthquake Reconstruction" competition to develop new masterplans for Lushan County in Ya'an, Sichuan province, China, which was the epicenter of the deadly 6.6-magnitude earthquake on April 20, 2013.
David Chipperfield wins Nobel Center architectural competition
David Chipperfield's "Nobelhuset" is the winning design for the new Nobel Center to be built in Stockholm, after a unanimous jury decision. Back in Fall 2013, Chipperfield was one of 11 famous architects who submitted proposals for the future Nobel Center.
A closer look into Invisible Barn by stpmj, a Folly 2014 Notable Entry
A straightforward expression of integrating architecture and nature, the Invisible Barn by New York design practice stpmj blends seamlessly into the surroundings of Socrates Sculpture Park. The proposal was one of 10 Notable Entries in this year's popular Folly competition.

MVRDV’s foam furniture collection showcased at Salone Furniture Fair in Milan
It's not competition-related, but whether you love or hate their signature style, MVRDV's radical forms always makes for interesting discussion, yes? Designed in collaboration with Belgian furniture label Sixinch, MVRDV recently announced the launch of "Vertical Village", a foam furniture collection currently at the Salone International Furniture Fair in Milan.
