What's better than being in an immersive LEGO-like art installation is being able to actually play with it, as seen in Hou de Sousa's "Raise/Raze" entry that won the Dupont Underground's Re-Ball! competition. Participants had to propose installation designs that would cleverly reuse the more than 650,000 translucent plastic balls from last year's BEACH installation at the National Building Museum.

L.A. Conservancy distinguishes nine historic projects in 2016 Preservation Awards
The Los Angeles Conservancy Preservation Awards highlight historic gems in L.A. County as a yearly tribute to the area's unique architectural heritage. This year's winners include projects located in Beverly Hills, Koreatown, and Glendale.
