I love the part in the video where she is flying around with a huge tin foil headpiece shaped like an airplane and is holding a propeller in her mouth while still singing.
Man, I got to see Future Islands last night. They were awesome, their music is great, but their live performance was incredible. So, been listening to them, again. Beirut is back in rotation, wish they'd come to town, love their music.
Saw Future Islands a few weeks ago when they were in town, awesome show, as expected. Got me thinking about another band I love, Wild Beasts, hoping they'd come around soon, but they just announced their break-up over the weekend. Something about not wanting to fizzle out... That brought me 'round to Mark Kozelek, and Sun Kil Moon. New album this year, hadn't heard it... Started to listen, and, it's, uh... Impossibly awful, really awful. Sometimes I have to wonder if a band/artist does this on purpose, because I know I would at some point in my musical career if I had one. For any fans of The Arcade Fire, who actually believes their latest album isn't just some kind of setup for some kind of later revelation in their sound/style/politics? Really digging Memory Tapes, Tycho, and The Clientele these days.
What music are you listening to?

Listen to Ikeda's work only on a low volume, especially when using headphones:
Not yet, have to give it a listen.
Friday, late summer, skies are blue, clouds are drifting.
Best beat maker/producer in hip-hop.
Also, great video if you don't like the music, just put it on mute and enjoy :)
Wayne & Wax Live @ Picó Picante 6.22.12, h/t Javier Arbona. Also 'Lust for Life' has been on repeat on my Amazon Music - Prime Unlimited account lately.
Inspired, at least in part, by my recent watching of Jarmusch's recent 'Gimme Danger', which I can't recommend highly enough.
I love the part in the video where she is flying around with a huge tin foil headpiece shaped like an airplane and is holding a propeller in her mouth while still singing.
There's a rabbit hole if you listen to this. It's really mostly used as background music, but it is so relaxing.
Julien Baker:
Ed Sheeran songs especially "Shape of You"

Was just listening to Ice-T's album Home Invasion that uses that exact James Brown song as a sample in It's On...what a coincidence:
Yep a New Jack Hustler :)

Today's CAD listening is brought to you by strange Swedish pop music and some crazy cool instruments. Enjoy the soundscape!

Jacques Brel - Dans le Port d'Amsterdam
Apparently, the singer of this band Noir Désir killed his girlfriend, still love the song though:
Some Soundgarden popped up during my morning commute. I'm still not over Chris' death.
