The site planning area for this project is 190,000 square meters (285 mu, or 19 hectares), and the project will be divided into two stages of construction to accommodate a total of 2000 beds. The project also required reserving an area for a future ward building for serving 1000 beds and also a 50 mu (3.3 hectares) of ground to be used for construction of a future Proton Therapy Center. The site to the southeast side of hospital is about 1200 mu (80 hectares), and is planned to be constructed as a Healthy City.
The Design Concept is extending life and developing growth in nature. By showing respect for nature by creating a symbiotic relationship with the building the architecture is combined with the surrounding form of the beautiful landscape. The D&T center rises from the west side to the east side; from a distant view, it will appear as a series of terraced fields with the rooftop as a garden. The design concept for the patient building comes from the landscape scenery of layer upon layer of peaks and valleys. The outpatient building was developed to recall the nostalgic atmosphere of groupings local homes situated in the natural rural landscape.
