The first phase of a complete reinvention of the hospital's public areas, this project involved the redesign of two entry vestibules, marquees and surrounding facades. The design strips away antiquated cladding, signage and equipment, while preserving and celebrating the interior's existing travertine wall panels. Key challenges included the specification and integration of hurricane-spec glazing, high-efficiency air curtains, energy-saving fiber-optic lighting systems, and high-durability custom stainless steel wall cladding panels with UV color treatment.
