Facade providing a 'screen' separating the hotel's Japanese Garden from the sidewalk of Crosby Street. Inspired by New Orleans architecture and responsive to the rhythms of SoHo's turn-of-century cast iron buildings nearby. Consists of exposed steel structure with integral planters, and custom cast iron gates. Entire structure was installed with an unsealed finish, allowing the steel to patina naturally.
