ituated in Sag Harbor, a short walk from the historic waterfront and village, this 200-square-foot Modern pool house addition takes inspiration in its form and materiality from the New England-style saltbox main house. The new cedar-clad structure is versatile, serving various purposes, and is linked to the main house by a trellis-covered walkway. Inside, the south-facing respite features a sitting area that can convert into a seasonal guest suite, a skylit full bathroom, and a wet bar.
Additional outdoor spaces include a rooftop sun deck, reached by an exterior staircase, providing seclusion for sunbathing, and a north-facing open-air carport featuring retractable canvas awnings. The carport doubles as an outdoor living room, complete with a fire pit, when not in use.
The project also includes upgrades to the cedar pool deck and pool, along with enhancements and minor expansions to the main house.
