At the top of a scenic street on the edge of Dobbs Ferry and Hastings-On-Hudson, perches this center hall colonial. A full row of dormers opens the attic to Hudson River views. A new steel beam supports this bright kitchen addition with enhanced light and access to the exterior. The classically-detailed garden conservatory includes a clerestory lantern with 360° views of the surrounding landscape. Sweeping fieldstone retaining walls contain new upper and lower bluestone patios nestled into the hillside and integrated into the gardens. This project successfully melds the organic forms of the landscape with the classical lines of the main house and addition.
