I am now initiated...
With about 10 basswood and matte board models under my belt, I felt invincible. Then it finally happened: SLICE! I nearly chopped my thumb off with a brand new Olfa blade. Yikes! Them things are sharp. Amazing how quickly you realize how important your thumbs are. I use that damned thumb for everything! Walking the dog (retractable leash), smoking my cigarettes (lighter), watching TV (remote control), driving (key), and so on and so forth.
Anyway, things are trucking along. Final exams and juried crits are next week. I feel like I'm in pretty good position because I've got a fairly well-developed model with plan, section, and site drawings already. All that's left are a few tweaks, a rebuild in basswood, and some final drawings.
Most importantly, I'll be driving down to Cincinnati on Sunday to see the finals of the Western & Southern Financial Masters tennis tournament. Can't wait for that, I've never seen Pro tennis in person, even though I've been a player for over 20 years (i.e., all my life).
I move into a permanent place in 10 days, right after finals. I'll be much closer to campus and I'll be able to ride my bike to school. Looking forward to it. I"ll post pics of everything after I get settled in to the new place!
