In partnership between REACH CDC & Bienestar OR, Plaza Los Amigos will provide 113 new affordable apartment units in Cornelius. The project will include a park, futsal court, and a walking trail along an old rail line. Rooted in Cornelius’ history, Plaza Los Amigos will provide stable housing in Washington County’s most racially diverse city. The project honors “Los Amigos Club,” a mutual aid society that helped migrant workers in the 1960s and 1970s, and the design evokes Cornelius’s rich history. Once completed,

Bienestar will be the long-term owner, operator and provider of resident services at Plaza Los Amigos. In partnership with Sequoia Mental Health Services, 16 units will be reserved to provide safe and stable homes for unhoused community members.
