Carriage House Theatre

The conversion of this carriage house building into a theatre consists of two small additions to the east and south, as well as extensive renovations to the interior and exterior of the building. The first floor consist of a new entry lobby with access to public rest rooms, stair to second floor, theatre space and ticket counter. Access to the theatre area is from the lobby through the stage as well as through a stair leading to the back of the seating area. The seating area accommodates 76 persons and is arranged around a circular stage. Both the seating and the stage are open to the space above and both have access to two means of egress. The stage is approximately 275 sf and is supported by a backstage area on the first floor and control room on the second floor. The second floor consists of a stair lobby/ balcony, dressing rooms, control room, and outdoor terrace. Most of the second floor space is open to the stage and seating below and allows for maximum use of the available space.
