This historic building slated for demolition was saved and moved from 47 Sigourney St. in Hartford to it’s present location at 21 Ashley St. Recently known as “The Victorian Lady” and built in 1890 this Queen Anne Victorian house was once home to an affluent family. It was eventually owned by AETNA which used it for offices during which time all the original interior was completely lost. This provided the architect with an unique opportunity to redesign the interior with a modern open plan and details to compliment the Victorian era building.
