In this project it was of importance to react to the ‘castle’ next to it and to reactivate the live/work typology by making it a serious and attractive alternative to the current chasm and commute between living and working.
This was done through creating a collective street that brought the various families living there cohesion between living and working in which everybody had their own expression of private space. Shared spaces such as meeting, fitness and a playroom create the possibility for a closer community. Through making the working units transparent and positioning them alternatively castle battlements can be seen along the street.
