For many years I have been involved in technical and design related aspects of architecture, in various parts of the world, on projects ranging from 600 sf renovations to 2,000,000 sf new developments.
As part of my BSc degree in engineering I interned at a construction company in Boxmeer and I arranged an internship in Dublin which lead me work on various large projects in a small team with lots of direct responsibility. Pavilion Phase 2 is my proud start-to-finish project as head draftsman and site architect.
My drive to explore lead me to Times Square in New York where I mainly worked on projects in The Netherlands as a designer with technical projects on the side.
At B+M in The Hague, the Amsterdam Eastern Docklands was a major coordination challenge in size, while also taking on Baumschlager & Eberle’s Vodafone Headquarters from sketch to building application and construction documents.
Technical University Delft (ranked 4th in the world, ahead of Harvard), was again a focus on conceptual and theoretical design aspects for my masters degree.
At ISL in Riga I designed and built my first professional project as lead architect.
From there I also kept up my professional development and worked on housing studies, a school expansion project and entered an international competition.
