BIG is having a good week, now with another competition win to design the Museum of the Human Body in Montpellier, France.
The jury — led by City Mayor Ms Hélène Mandroux — selected BIG out of five international shortlisted teams. BIG collaborated on the design with A+Architecture + Egis + Base + L'Echo + Celsius Environnement + CCVH.

BIG's latest museum design, the Blåvand Bunker Museum, will be built in the historic dune landscape of Varde in Denmark after the museum received the necessary funding from the A.P. Møller and Chastine Mc-Kinney Møller Foundation.
The museum will transform a former German WWII bunker into a four-volume museum complex — all while fully integrated into one of the dunes.

BIG will get to design 950-974 Market, a new development in San Francisco's Mid-Market Arts District. Prevailing over strong competitors like OMA and Snøhetta, this will be the first project for BIG on the U.S. West Coast. BIG together with West 8, Fentress Architects, John Portman & Associates (JPA), Revuelta Architecture International and developers Portman-CMC have unveiled the urban planning proposal Miami Beach Square, the centerpiece of a 52-acre Miami Beach Convention Center District development. Ingels has been asked to envision a gateway, one that invites visitors to learn, rest and escape and then leads them north to the rest of the Mall. B.I.G. will be responsible for site and building investigations, programming, campus planning, architectural and engineering design concepts and cost analysis.
