For the Spring Syracuse University's School of Architecture curated an exciting list of speakers and guest lectures for their Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI) Series. The school shares that the series was "created by and for our students, provides opportunities to engage with activists, educators, practitioners and scholars to discuss topics affiliated with the DEI Student Committee’s ambition to create diverse, equitable, and inclusive academic and professional environments."

During the month of February, the school invited Oana Stănescu and Something Fantastic's Julian Shubert, Elena Schutz, and Leonard Steich to present their lecture "COVERS, COVERS, COVERS" on February 2nd. Zenia Koreitem and John May of MILLIØNS presented their lecture "A LOOSE COLLECTION OF OBJECTS, IMAGES AND TEXTS" on February 9th. In honor of Black History Month, the school conducted "Hidden Histories" series organized by the Syracuse Orange Chapter of the National Organization of Minority Architecture Students (NOMAS). The school hosted discussions with Sekou Cooke, Dr. Biko Mandela Gray, Ifeoma Ebo, Felecia Davis, and Pascale Sablan. On February 11th the Thomas W. Boyde Jr. Panel discussion was led by Dean Michael Speaks where they discussed Boyde Jr. and his legacy as the first Black architect in Rochester, N.Y. and the first Black graduate of the School of Architecture.
March welcomes lectures from Li Han & Hu Yan of Drawing Architecture Studio on March 2nd. Architect and Pratt Institute's Graduate Architecture chairperson David Erdman discusses his new book "Introducing: Short Essays on Influential Thinkers and Designers in Architecture" on March 4th. Karolina Czeczek and Adam Frampton of Only If, Hanif Kara of AKT II, and Max Kuo of ALLTHATISSOLID will also present lectures during the month of March. Tammy Eagle Bull, co-founder of Encompass Architects will participate in the school's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Mini-Series on March 11th.
The City Scripts Symposium Charting Renewal will take place on April 1st followed by lectures from guests such as Cory Henry, Mia Lehrer, Yuanrong Ma, and Anne Munly. May 5th welcomes architect and urban designer Liang Wang and the school's fifth Harry der Boghosian Fellow during the Harry der Boghosian Fellowship Symposium.
