University of Oregon seeks an Assistant Professor of Architecture
Location: Eugene, OR
The Architecture Department at the University of Oregon is seeking applications for a full-time, tenure track assistant professor position in Mass Timber Design and Construction to begin Fall 2020. The department is seeking candidates who address the synthesis of building design and sustainable technologies in their teaching and research and have a strong interest in interdisciplinary collaboration. In particular, candidates will be expected to make significant contributions to the Department’s participation in the TallWood Design Institute, a partnership of the University of Oregon’s College of Design and Oregon State University’s Colleges of Forestry and Engineering focused on the advancement of timber design and manufacturing through research, testing, outreach and education.
Syracuse University seeks a Project Manager/Studio Coordinator
Location: New York, NY
The Project Manager/Studio Coordinator will provide administrative and operational support, assist in managing studios and classes under the direction of Faculty and visiting critics and aid in event planning, documentation, and promotion. The Project Manager will also assist with housing arrangements for students, managing the program budget, and other administrative support as needed. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree is required; familiarity with the architecture profession or a related design field is preferred. Requires at least two (2) years of experience working with students and faculty to deliver academic and other support services in a creative studio environment.
University of Missouri - Kansas City seeks an Assistant Professor of Architecture
Location: Kansas City, MO
The Department of Architecture, Urban Planning + Design (AUP+D) is currently seeking an Assistant Professor of Architecture. The person hired for this tenure-track position will direct the first-year Environmental Design curriculum supporting the UMKC Architectural Studies program and the UMKC Urban Planning + Design program. UMKC’s Architectural Studies program is a collaboration with Kansas State University. Required teaching responsibilities include two semesters of first-year design studio and architectural history. Service responsibilities include contributions to program administration (such as advising, recruitment, and coordination with Kansas State) and work advancing diversity and inclusion in the design professions. Some preferred areas of research and professional practice include architectural history, design pedagogy, community design processes, and/or sustainability.

North Dakota State University seeks an Architecture Assistant Professor

The Department of Architecture in the newly formed School of Design, Architecture + Art at North Dakota State University invites applications and nominations for an Assistant Professor, tenure-track, 9-month, full-time, benefited faculty position. Teaching responsibilities include a lecture or seminar course and a design studio each semester. The Department seeks an individual with exceptional architecture design abilities and an additional area of expertise in one of the following areas: digital technology, history / theory, environmental systems, structures, materials and methods or beginning design. The successful candidate is also required to participate in department service, such as curriculum development, awards, advising, attend faculty meetings, and advise students in their design thesis projects. The appointment will start in August 2020.
North Dakota State University seeks an Architecture Department Chair

The Department of Architecture is a founding department in the new and innovative School of Design, Architecture + Art. A successful candidate is expected to develop a dynamic vision for the future of the program, the program’s role in the School, and development of affiliations with other related programs on campus. Candidates must be qualified by education and experience to administer programs in architecture with credentials that warrant a tenured appointment at a appropriate rank. Credentials must be one of the following: Master’s degree in professional architecture (MA), plus architecture license OR; Professional Bachelor of Architecture (BA), plus a master’s degree in a closely related field, plus architecture license OR; a Professional Architecture degree plus a PhD in Architecture. Applicants must demonstrate strong teaching experience, excellent accomplishments in scholarly and/or creative work, the ability to interact and collaborate effectively with others, a commitment to diverse peoples and ideas, effective oral and written communication skills, and experience in leadership roles.
The University of Hong Kong seeks an Associate Professor of Practice in the Division of Landscape Architecture
Location: Hong Kong, HK
The Division of Landscape Architecture is seeking an experienced individual to lead the development of its experiential learning curriculum and strengthen related knowledge exchange and research-led teaching. The Division is interested in individuals who can advance research critiquing and repositioning landscape architecture in the design and production of the contemporary city. Candidates should demonstrate an active engagement with landscape disciplinary theories and critical practices in the context of the urbanizing sub/tropical environments of Southeast Asia. They should also have a good track record of securing external funding. Applicants should have a minimum of six years’ teaching experience at the tertiary level and be able to demonstrate innovative pedagogies that advance design and practice based teaching, including the design and delivery of landscape studios, thesis, and research seminar courses.
