The Architecture Department at the University of Oregon is seeking applications for a full-time, tenure track assistant professor position in Mass Timber Design and Construction to begin Fall 2020. 

The department is seeking candidates who address the synthesis of building design and sustainable technologies in their teaching and research and have a strong interest in interdisciplinary collaboration. In particular, candidates will be expected to make significant contributions to the Department’s participation in the TallWood Design Institute, a partnership of the University of Oregon’s College of Design and Oregon State University’s Colleges of Forestry and Engineering focused on the advancement of timber design and manufacturing through research, testing, outreach and education ( TDI's applied research includes mass timber product development, building design, prototyping and performance testing (i.e. constructability, structural, acoustic, fire-resistance, moisture-resistance, durability, net-zero or carbon negative design).
