Foster + Partners and Rubio Arquitectura win Museo del Prado Hall of Realms restoration
Foster + Partners and Rubio Arquitectura had the winning scheme to refurbish the Museo del Prado's historic Salón de Reinos, or Hall of Realms. The winners were selected over big contenders including OMA, Nieto Sobejano, Souto Moura, and Gluckman Tang.
2016 RIBA House of the Year shortlist
RIBA is currently in the process of revealing the seven projects in the House of the Year shortlist. So far, they've announced four homes:
Outhouse by Loyn & Co. Architects + Ansty Plum by Coppin Dockray
Covert House by DSDHA + Murphy House by Richard Murphy Architects

BIG + BARCODE Architects to design cascading “Sluishuis” building in Amsterdam
BIG has another terraced building in the works. Along with BARCODE Architects, BIG won the competition to design the new waterfront “Sluishuis” residential complex in Amsterdam.

Take a moment to relax at LOT's Flatiron Sky-Line, which won the 2016 Flatiron Public Plaza Holiday Design Competition. The installation is open throughout the holiday season in NYC's Flatiron District.
Envisioning life on Mars in the 24H Competition 13th edition
As always, 24H Competition entrants only have 24 hours to complete and submit their proposals. Participants in the 13th edition put their creativity to the test in designing a Mars habitat.
