Mr. Greenberg expects its future clients' new offices can expect similar results. In R/GA's first five months in its more "connected space" employee retention is up 5%. The ultimate goal and "magic number" will likely be akin to the higher retention rates of tech companies, like Google and Facebook. Those companies are growing in cities like New York and forcing agencies like R/GA to offer more desirable workspaces if they want to keep their talent, explained Mr. Greenberg. — AdAge

Did I miss something? What exactly is R/GA selling? Guess you should read AdAge with a large B.S. Detector.
Not to say there isn't room for disruption, mostly in the leadership class / media. If you want to be optimistic, talk to young practitioners, and if you want to by cynical, talk to AIA leadership.
LiMX, they're selling a can of whoop ass for architects...
why are they using an airport design for an office?
If it looks like tech it must quack with market relevance like tech...?
Koww - from the article: "Because the space is so large, R/GA developed its own signage system that's based on airport wayfinding. "
The shop also decided to build a raised floor, running things like electrical wiring underneath, and reuse construction material to hang lights and build modular conference rooms, among other "innovations."
Since when is raised flooring a new "innovation"? This article smells like crap, then again, it's an ad agency.
It looks to me like they got an office that was well-designed in that Foster kind of way and now they are going to use their own staff to reproduce and re-sell these (arguably Foster's) ideas to their advertising clients.
