Mecanoo’s winning Tainan Public Library scheme celebrates the “meeting of cultures and histories”
Mecanoo and MAYU architects+ had the winning proposal to design the new Tainan Public Library in Taiwan. The 35,000m2 structure will include reading rooms, special collections, a 200-seat auditorium, and public courtyards, to name a few.

Revealed: “My Detroit” postcard winners for the 2016 U.S. Venice Biennale exhibit
Out of more than 400 entries, the winning photos for the "My Detroit" postcard contest were announced. Depicting striking scenes of everyday life in Detroit, the photos will be printed as postcards and handed out to visitors during the 2016 Venice Biennale.
Annabelle Selldorf, Iwan Baan, Robert M. Rubin win AIANY 2016 honor awards
The AIA New York chapter bestowed their Medal of Honor to Annabelle Selldorf of Selldorf Architects. Iwan Baan won the Stephen A. Kliment Oculus Awardee and Robert M. Rubin received the Award of Merit.
