Santiago Calatrava soars over competition with winning Dubai tower design
Santiago Calatrava won the competition to design an observation tower for the Dubai Creek Harbor development in the city. Selected out of six proposals, Calatrava's scheme is described as a combination of modern aesthetics and stylistic elements inspired by Islamic architecture.
BIG will design the 2016 Serpentine Pavilion, with 4 more architects joining the party

Romance is in the air at Times Square. If you were to walk through there right now, you'll find the "Heart of Hearts", a ring of mirrored golden hearts in the middle of all the hustle and bustle. Designed by Collective-LOK, the installation is the 2016 winner of the Times Square Valentine Heart Design competition.
“The Daredevil” wins the latest Art of Building photo competition
Architecture is all about the details, and the photographs in the Art of Building competition demonstrate the refreshing ways such details can be portrayed. "The Daredevil", taken in Chittagong, Bangladesh by Ata Adnan was the winning shot in the latest competition.
