Back in October, the Pershing Square Renew non-profit group revealed 10 big-name semifinalist teams in a competition to redesign Downtown L.A.'s Pershing Square. The competition has narrowed down to the final four.
Second time’s the charm? Kengo Kuma to design new Tokyo Olympic Stadium
Rumors were put to rest when the Japanese government officially announced that Kengo Kuma will design the new Tokyo Olympic Stadium, five months after Prime Minister Shinzo Abe made the anxiety-inducing decision to scrap Zaha Hadid's hotly criticized proposal.

Clean lines. Natural light. Pristine shades of white. Imagine being able to see the works of some of today's most acclaimed Japanese architects all in one space. Well, MoMA is prepping for such an exhibition called "A Japanese Constellation: Toyo Ito, SANAA, and Beyond" that's opening in March.
More details behind the 3rd-prize Varna Library design by spatial practice
Hong Kong-based Spatial Practice won third place with their proposal above in the recently concluded competition for the new Library of Varna in Bulgaria. Architects for Urbanity will design the new structure, which will be Varna's first "official" library building in a long time.
eVolo VMODERN winners explore the possibilities of furniture design
eVolo Magazine — the publication that hosts the hugely popular Skyscraper Competition — puts the future of furniture design in the spotlight with their VMODERN Furniture Design Competition. Participants worldwide submitted designs in progress, prototypes, and/or concepts.
