Bosco Verticale wins 2015 Best Tall Building Worldwide from CTBUH
Since the Bosco Verticale was completed late last year, the "Vertical Forest" residential building continues to garner plenty of attention — and awards. Most recently, it won the CTBUH 2015 Best Tall Building Worldwide, besting the four regional winners announced this past summer.
Fernando Guerra wins Arcaid Images Architectural Photographer of the Year 2015
Arcaid Images honors expertise and creativity in the annual Arcaid Images Architectural Photography Awards. Fernando Guerra won the top-winning Photographer of the Year title with his photo of the EPFL Quartier Nord in Ecublens (pictured above).
SOFTlab’s crystal “Nova” to open on Nov. 18 at NYC’s Flatiron District
SOFTlab recently won the 2015 Flatiron Public Plaza Holiday Design competition with "Nova", a festive crystalline installation for the holiday season. If you'll be in the NYC area, Nova opens to the public this Wednesday.
Collective-LOK’s “Heart of Hearts” chosen as winning 2016 Times Square Valentine Heart Design
Over the last eight years, NYC's Times Square has invited architects, designers, and artists to propose an interactive Valentine-themed heart installation for their Valentine Heart Design competition. Collective-LOK won the 2016 competition with their entry, "Heart of Hearts".
Two USA Fellows announced in Architecture & Design for 2015
Since 2006, the United States Artists (USA) fellowship program has granted over $20 million to U.S.-based artists working in various creative fields. The Architecture & Design category had two fellows for 2015: Jonathan Muecke and Chat Travieso.
Winning entries for d3 Natural Systems 2015
The d3 Natural Systems competition had another successful edition for 2015. The annual competition encourages the ongoing investigation of natural systems — whether at the microscopic or universal scale — in an effort to discover new design strategies.

Blueprint Magazine celebrated another successful year with the 2015 Blueprint Awards. The second edition of the awards attracted a fresh set of cream-of-the-crop designs from six continents.
Winners of the 2015 Australian National Architecture Awards
Forty-two projects were honored in the 2015 Australian National Architecture Awards, the final tier in the Australian Institute of Architect competition. The Dubai Frame expected to be complete very soon
Since construction began in 2013 on the giant Dubai Frame (yes, that building from that ThyssenKrupp competition), the structure is expected to open to the public "in one month's time" if all goes well, according to recent reports.
