Based in Milan, Stefano Boeri Architetti is committed to the research and practice of contemporary architecture and urbanism. Recently completed projects include the recovery of the Ex Arsenale in La Maddalena, Sardinia and the new RCS – Corriere della Sera Headquarters (work is now under way on the remaining buildings of the competition master plan). Projects currently under way include the design for a multifunctional building for the PACA Region on the Marseilles Waterfront (Centre Régional de la Méditerranée) scheduled for inauguration for 2013, Marseilles European Cultural Capital; two eco compatible residential towers (il Bosco Verticale) in Milan are scheduled to begin construction at the beginning of 2010; the project for the Policlinic of Milan, a large scale renovation of one of the city’s most prominent medical centers; research on new prototypes for social and sustainable housing; and the design the spaces for the new Italian private train transport company, NTV.
