Two recent grads win the 2015 SOM Prize + Travel Fellowship for architecture
Since 1981, the Skidmore, Owings & Merrill Foundation has awarded promising architecture and engineering students a chance to both professionally and personally enrich themselves through international travel grants. Nicholas Coates of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and Xiaoxi Chen Laurent of Columbia University won this year's architecture grants.

John Wardle Architects + NADAAA won the competition to design the landmark building for the University of Melbourne back in 2009. Completed within budget and four months ahead of schedule, check out the fully built 15,772 m2 school building.
Summit Powder Mountain cabin design winner shows “how to build responsibly at 8,400 ft”
The Summit Powder Mountain competition challenged participants to design their ideal mountain residential community in Utah's Wasatch Range, at an altitude of 8,400 feet atop 10,000 acres of untouched land.
