Dominique Perrault named as architecture laureate for 2015 Praemium Imperiale Arts Award
As the 2015 architecture laureate, Dominique Perrault will be presented with the prestigious award, which honors lifetime achievement in the arts. Over 100 of the greatest cultural figures in the 20th and 21st centuries have received Praemium Imperiale.
David Adjaye wins 2016 McDermott Award in the Arts at MIT
David Adjaye is the 2016 recipient for the 2016 McDermott Award, which includes a short artist residency at MIT and $100,000. The prize celebrates an individual's distinctive artistic trajectory and their potential to produce more distinguishable work in the future.
Two winners announced for Bauhaus Museum in Dessau
Gonzalez Hinz Zabala from Barcelona and New York-based Young & Ayata tied for first prize in the anticipated results of the Bauhaus Museum Dessau competition. The Bauhaus Dessau Foundation, the competition co-organizer, will begin negotiating with both teams to decide who will construct the museum.

“Crow’s Eye View”, from the 2014 Venice Biennale Korean Pavilion, returns as a NY exhibition
After a successful run at the 2014 Venice Biennale, "Crow's Eye View: The Korean Peninsula" returns as an exhibition at the Tina Kim Gallery in New York. The exhibition explores how architecture played a key role in shaping the Korean Peninsula after World War II.
Six finalist teams to proceed in Tintagel Castle Bridge competition
Stage Two has begun for the Tintagel Castle Bridge competition, which ultimately seeks the winning design that's worthy of the legendary 13th-century Tintagel Castle and its landscape in north Cornwall. The bridge is expected to be 72 meters long, 28 meters higher than the current crossing, and is currently expected to cost £4 million.
Winners of UD4U’s Abandoned Chrysler Automobile Plant Redevelopment in Wisconsin
UD4U invited professional and student participants worldwide to create a new urban-design plan to revive the abandoned historic Chrysler Engine Plant in Kenosha, WI. Three winners and honorable mentions were announced at the end of the competition.
