Known for her atmospheric black and white photos of buildings by some of the most famous architects, Hélène Binet received the 2015 Julius Shulman Institute Photography Award last Saturday during her first U.S. exhibition at the WUHO Gallery in Hollywood.
Built By Women NYC highlights 100 of the best woman-built NYC projects
Let's hear it for the ladies of architecture, engineering, and construction. The Built By Women NYC (BxW NYC) competition last fall sought 100 of the best NYC-based projects designed, engineered, constructed, or managed by women. David Chipperfield to receive 2015 Sikkens Prize in Amsterdam this month
David Chipperfield was announced as the 36th recipient of the 2015 Sikkens Prize. Established in 1960, the biennial Sikkens Prize honors its creative laureates for their innovative use of color, reflecting the Sikkens Foundation's mission of championing the significant role of color in social, scientific, and cultural developments.
KANVA wins RAIC 2015 Emerging Architectural Practice Award
Montreal-based KANVA continues to gain recognition over at their home country in Canada. Most recently, the KANVA collective won the 2015 Royal Architectural Institute of Canada Emerging Architectural Practice Award.
“Soundscape New York” depicts the sounds of NYC’s famous buildings
Opening on March 10 at the Museum of the City of New York, "Soundscape New York" is an audiovisual exhibition that showcases abstract drawings of the sounds coming from some of NYC's iconic buildings.
