It took 11 years to build the Native House. Our studio worked on it for 6 years. Unhurried, balanced, taking into account every detail.
At first, the owners wanted a classic family mansion with arches. But during the first three years of working together on the project, their commitment to the classics wavered, and they settled for concrete, metal and a lot of wood.
As a result, the interior of the three-story building was designed in a modern Ukrainian style, combining the Japanese wabi-sabi philosophy and Ukrainian traditions.
In the native house, the walls are also treated. Especially when they are pantone. Recently, the color institute Pantone chose "classic blue" as the color of the year 2020, and a year ago we decided that this would be the walls inside RIDNYI House.
The second floor is three blocks: for parents, children and guests.
