Perhaps somewhere thousands of light years away, on one of the stars of Alpha Centauri, this house would be more familiar to the eye. But in our constellation, it attracts attention. This was the goal of MAKHNO Studio. To create something catchy and bold.

The client wanted non-standard solutions and views. He wanted a house that would not leave indifferent emotions. At the same time, the house should be comfortable and functional for the whole family.

As you step onto the first floor of the Lake House, you will immediately notice the striking sense of openness and connection to nature. The space has been thoughtfully designed with an open-plan layout that creates a seamless flow between the living room, dining area, and kitchen. This layout maximizes natural light and provides a feeling of spaciousness that invites you to breathe in the fresh air and take in the natural beauty around you.


As you ascend the stairs to the second floor of the Lake House, you’ll immediately notice a serene and calming atmosphere. The natural light filtering in through the large windows creates a cosy ambience, while the sounds of the nearby lake provide a tranquil soundtrack. It is designed to be a private and comfortable space, featuring two bedrooms with attached bathrooms and walk-in closets. The bedrooms are located on opposite sides of the floor, providing privacy and separation


Stepping into the hall with the staircase is like entering an otherworldly realm of design where beauty and innovation merge seamlessly. The TETRAPOD mesmerises visitors with its hypnotic geometric pattern. The angular shapes and lines of the design create an optical illusion, making it seem as if the walls themselves are alive and pulsing with energy.

The tile’s voluminous nature adds a layer of depth and dimensionality to the space, making it feel larger than life. The three-dimensional quality of the TETRAPOD – 3D MAKHNO tile gives it a sculptural quality, and visitors can’t resist reaching out to touch its textured surface.

The colour palette of the tile is a carefully chosen blend of light and dark shades that play off each other in a subtle dance of contrast. The muted tones of the greys and blacks give the room a sense of calmness and serenity, while the occasional pop of white injects a bright burst of energy.

The custom-made KHMARA hanging above the bed is the undisputed star of the room, casting a soft glow that adds to the serene ambience. It’s intricate design and delicate features are a testament to the craftsmanship that went into its creation. The LAKUNA lamps on either side of the bed are sleek and elegant, providing a touch of modern sophistication that complements the natural feel of the space.


As you step into the workspace, you are immediately struck by the harmonious blend of modern design and natural elements. The ceramic desk, with its unique texture and clean lines, exudes a sense of understated elegance, while the KHMARA light fixture above creates a warm and inviting glow that draws you in.

The panoramic window, with its breathtaking views of the outdoors, infuses the space with natural light, creating a welcoming and inspiring environment that’s perfect for creative work. The lush greenery outside, which can be seen through the window, brings a touch of nature inside and adds a sense of calm and tranquillity to the space.

The bedroom is a harmonious blend of modern elegance and natural warmth. The bright color palette creates a welcoming atmosphere, with the walls adorned with natural wood panelling. The wooden texture adds depth and character to the space, giving it a sense of rustic charm.

The GEMMA lamp is the centrepiece of the room, boasting ten stunning bulbs that provide both aesthetic and functional benefits. The warm, bright light illuminates the entire space, evenly distributed thanks to the lamp’s narrow lower section. The lamp’s high-quality materials ensure longevity, guaranteeing that it will become a cherished family heirloom.


The room is a stunning combination of dark colours and natural textures that create a unique and captivating ambience. The highlight of the space is the VOLCANO lamps that are like having a real-life volcano in your home. As soon as the darkness falls, the soft glow of the lava lights up the room and fills it with warmth and cosiness.

The wall behind the bed is adorned with 3D KANOE tiles, which are designed to resemble the shape of a canoe navigating the wild rivers of the Carpathian Mountains. The tiles are made of high-quality materials and provide a modern and artistic touch to the room’s decor.
