OSONNIA APARTMENT in the center of Kyiv is an ideal of innovation and rationality, and at the same time, environmental friendliness and creativity by MAKHNO studio.

We studied the daily routes and habits of the apartment’s residents

Based on this and objective factors, such as the view outside the window, natural light, etc;

Optimized the existing layout, creating a more convenient scheme. We expanded the bedroom, wardrobe, and bathroom areas, made the hallway larger, and accommodated a small laundry room and a guest bathroom without losing space in the main rooms. This made it possible to place additional zones while preserving the living area.

"WE RETHOUGHT THE OSONNIA SPACE IN SUCH A WAY THAT THERE WERE MORE ZONES, BUT NO LESS SPACE. THIS IS WHERE INGENUITY AND ALMOST MAGIC CAME IN HANDY. IT WAS ALSO IMPORTANT TO FILL ALL THESE ZONES WITH NATURAL SUNLIGHT."

OSONNIA APARTMENT is a smart home where every parameter (lighting, climate control, security, electrical devices, audio system, etc.) is finely regulated or automatically adjusted to your lifestyle.

The project is interesting for its unique design solutions, such as our signature TETRAPOD tiles in the bathroom, which won the Red Dot Award. Next to it, there is an artistically decorated washbasin with Japanese motifs, a real work of art.

The home is decorated with numerous art objects that are also functional. All ceramics, furniture, lighting, and other items are handmade using authentic technologies in MAKHNO workshops.

And all OSONNIA design elements are made of environmentally friendly materials: clay, stone, and wood. The wall molding is made by hand.

And in the living room, MAKIVKA lamps resemble delicate flowers and give rise to silky, caressing light.

Get ready to be mesmerized by VOLCANO lamps that decorate the kitchen and dining room, and radiate a mesmerizing otherworldly glow, like the shimmer of molten lava.

The bedroom of the OSONNIA apartment is decorated in light, natural colors. Ceramic furniture and wild stone texture create an atmosphere of maximum comfort and safety. The soft light of the LAKUNA lamps located on both sides of the bed simply lulls you to sleep.

DIDO, a good spirit that protects and maintains domestic harmony, protects the peace of the house’s inhabitants. These are collectible art sculptures by MAKHNO Product, made, decorated, and hand-painted by hereditary ceramic masters. Several DIDOs live in this house, the largest one is up to a meter high.

A carefully thought-out dressing room and a luxurious bathroom complement the mood of OSONNIA in a balanced design ensemble.
