DREAMLAND: The Art Pile
The exhibition Dreamland – The Art Pile, invites you to compile a post apocalyptic vision as described by those left to tell the tale. Like a renaissance after dark ages, punk out of the gloom of the seventies, an awakening from the Great Forgetting reminding us that despite our mass centralized, destructive society, we have once also been tribal, a single culture of thousands. It should be a catalyst for a fresh perspective on our place in the world and human history, an offering of culture as an outlet to safely relieve social trauma. We offer our small 9’x15’ gallery as a dreamland woven by your visions of what an art platform should be. This is not a curated show. This is a documentary, hell even a docudrama if you wish to perform.
The team at AlterWork Studios is seeking submissions for our upcoming group exhibition.
All submissions meeting the following criteria will be accepted:
1. Must be delivered to AlterWork Studios on either Friday, May 13, 2022 between 12PM and 8PM or Saturday, May 14, 2022 between 2PM and 8PM.
2. Must fit through the studio's front door.
3. Limit one piece per artist/collective.
Artists will be asked to fill out a Loan Agreement at the time of drop-off. Artists can fill out the form beforehand by downloading and printing out the form found here.
EXHIBITION DATES:
Opening Reception Friday, May 20, 2022 from 6-9PM
Exhibit will be on display everyday from 12-9PM until June 18th
Artwork Pick-Up: Sunday, June 19 - Saturday, June 25
