little murcutt (nick), box house NSW
next, atypical material for a well established architect...
i know that one, but i don't have anything to put up behind it. i'll look around first, see if anyone else gets it.
I don't know it, but I have a good one lined up...
I'm pretty sure that that's the Japanese pavillion for the expo in Sevilla. Done by Tadao Ando, I believe?
the new one:
you would be correct
yep, that'd be tadao. an oldie but a goodie. dammit, i've seen that other one before too! it's in japan, right?
Yeah, the new one is in Japan... Done by an office of the "younger generation"... For tips: they did a lot of works in small, urban fill-ins. they even wrote a rather well-known book about it, too...
That would be the Mado building, Tokyo, 2002 Atelier Bow Wow
ortner ortner, museum moderner kunst, but i can't post due to deadline
oldenvirginia where's that one you said you had lined up?
damn. here we go...
The Museum Of Occupations in Tallinn by Head Arhitektid. Great little building. Maybe it is the curves and the wood ceiling talking, but it feels almost a little Aalto.
BUMP
for the meantime... no cheating
Pott Architects - house L. i knew i had seen that before.. mainly this view:
well just in case some one is still out there.. here's a classic for the next one
Faintly reminiscent of Perret's famous church ?
yea i can see that.. though this one was done about 50 years later then perret's notre dame, there was a lot to learn from him. this one is slightly more... italian.
ahh...only if frederico fellini was an architect...
monday bump.. architect also has a fairly iconic project in denver....
Ah ha! I do believe it is Gio Ponti's Cathedral in Taranto, no?
Ok... here's the new one:
yes! he also designed the "original" denver art museum, now in the background of libeskind's broken-glass-iceburg-blade pile. you're up olden
Looks like something by Lacaton & Vassal...
It's House in Coutra, Lacaton & Vassal
Just for accuracy, it's CoutraS.... Anyway...that's the Digital Harbour Port 1010 (1010 LaTrobe Street) Building by Ashton Raggatt McDougall.
in Melbourne...
argh. i thought that might be ashton raggatt mcdougall. their stuff drives me crazy (and not in a good way).
OK...here we go:
Gee that was quick...
I figured I'd try to match your response time ;)
nice bit of dutch old school - by maaskant, Tomado House, Dordrecht.
spot on :)
i'm haven't got time to dig up an image, so someone else go post one, i'll try and find one tomorrow - bloody tired and in need of sleep right now.
I'll step in...
is that a camera obscura?
that narrows it down...
