The library at The Carroll School, a public school in Brooklyn, represents a collaboration between parents and school administrators who collectively participated in the project’s design and fundraising activities.
New technology components have been added to foster class presentations and research, rolling bookshelves allow for larger school gatherings and dance classes, and a vibrant palette of materials reflects the spirit and warmth of the library setting. An abstract solar system design has been created in the natural linoleum flooring and custom furniture creates a playful juxtaposition of curved geometries.
