Founded by a former diplomat who worked in the Foreign Service, the International Charter School of New York attracts students of different races, ethnicities and income levels. At a location near the Brooklyn Navy Yard, we worked with the founder and a development team to design a new K-8 school that reflects the robust typology of the nearby warehouse construction while including a full-sized gym, cafeteria, roof top play area, and well-lit classrooms with terrific views of the skyline.
