Sustainable design creates tranquil and inspiring guest experience

Baskervill continues its long-standing relationship with Thayer Lodging Group with the projects at the Doubletree Palm Beach Gardens Hotel.  The first phase of the project involved a complete redesign of the lobby and restaurant.  The second phase consisted of a brand-new Executive Meeting Center (EMC), which achieved LEED Silver certification, and is one of the first EMCs in the area to carry such a designation.  Adjacent to the hotel lobby, the new EMC is based on a ‘walk through nature’ concept.  The colors are inspired by  flowers and foliage on the site where the new building now sits:  crisp white with splashes of reds and oranges from the flowers and soothing deep greens and plums from the leaves.  The project focused on the natural daylight of the space and how shadows would fall along the curved walls and niches.
