Baskervill, in association with Madge Bemiss Architects, is working with the Black History Museum develop a comprehensive vision for their future.
The centerpiece of these efforts are plans to fully renovate and expand the historic Leigh Street Armory. In addition to the 6,500-square-foot renovation of the existing building, the project includes a 15,000-square-foot addition. Spaces include exhibition galleries, interactive galleries and community gathering spaces as well as support spaces for administration and collections storage.
