A BREATH
The main challenge of this competition is to give “a breath” to midtown.
So people can live here walking, running, cycling, skating and staying off the cars pollution.
We have created a runway in the center of the tracks to be used also as a safety way and to help the crossing of the tracks itself.
We reversed the shelters at the platforms, facing the trains, to reduce the size and increase safety when boarding.
Same shelters are useful for small shops, street food vendors and “pay and ride” bicycles parking lots.
We have created various sidewalks patterns to improve the sense of orientation and we have written the name of the place on the shelters and on the pavement to have a stronger relationship with the place.
