TECH CITY ORGANIC SKYSCRAPER
For us a tech city is a small town, or a part of it, where technique and technology are largely employed to improve the quality of the life of inhabitants.
In this project the technology has a strong role because it is joined to the project.
For us an organic skyscraper is a tall building that can be adapted to the needs of those who lives in and those who works in.
This 192 meters tall (including “fringes”) has a very simple oval plan (44 m x 29 m) with an oval internal core.
The levels are:
-2 to -1: underground parking for 120 cars
0: entrance, bar, access and safety
+1 to + 40: mixed functions,
+41: restaurant an bars
+42: plants
The structure is rational and it is built to give the opportunity to easily change the disposition of the internal functions.
The inner core allows the flexibility of the plants distribution and helps the changing of the functions.
The orientation is north-south to have the larger south exposition to guarantee the maximum production of photovoltaic energy.
It is surrounded from 20 (5,9 m x 4,0 m high) panels each level.
Each panel is divided into 20 parts and it is diversely obscured.
Running around the building it is possible to understand the changing of the skin and the relationship between lights and darks.
For us “flexibility” is when a building maintains its spirit, its form and its “behavior”, but it is friendly with the guests.
Our skyscraper is proud to be itself and to belong to the family of the tall buildings but it is ready to change completely its interiors and, if necessary, to transform its skin.
