This residence on 73rd Street in Manhattan has a footprint of only 320 square feet, but it stretches vertically through four separate levels. In order to maximize the sense of space and the distribution of light, the bed is cantilevered over the living area, and most interior walls are eliminated. Designed to maximize efficiency and openness, it features custom storage cabinets below the stairs, and a very compact kitchen and bath. The top level leads out onto a roof terrace with its own 14' x 5' mini-lawn.
