University of Cincinnati, Planning + Design + Construction [2008-2011]
For three years, I worked for the University Architect in the Department of Planning + Design + Construction, helping implement the University of Cincinnati’s aggressive master plan. This plan designed by the University and Hargraves Associates has seen the investment of over $2 billion since 1991 and the complete transformation of the urban campus into what Forbes Magazine recently called one of the “most beautiful campuses in the world.” The University of Cincinati is a living laboratory of world-class architecture by Frank Gehry, Peter Eisenman, Bernard Tschumi, Michael Graves, Thom Mayne, and many more. I assisted in LEED certification of some of our six LEED buildings, updates to the master plan to increase sustainability of stormwater management, landscape maintenance, fountains, etc. and helped complete and begin to implement a bike plan to encourage bicycle use both on and around the campus.
