The results of the LEAF Awards 2014 are out! Every year, the LEAF International highlights projects that are perceived as setting the standard for the international architecture and design community in various categories. Winners were recognized at an awards ceremony at the Swissotel in Düsseldorf/Neuss, Germany on October 10. Miami is one of several U.S. cities promoting the value of better city infrastructure and the existence of alternative modes of transportation, as emphasized in the Miami DDA Masterplan. The 2014 European Prize for Urban Public Space adds a dose of reality to often romanticized European cities, showing that every city no matter where has its own set of pressing issues. The annual prize recognizes exemplary projects that have transformed and improved public spaces throughout the continent.
