Could this be the welcome redemption time for TWBTA after it was announced just yesterday that DS+R's MoMA expansion will officially raze the much beloved American Folk Art Museum? (*ding ding ding!*)

Predictable list of trendy types. Who cares? It's not as if they each provided a schematic enabling us to preview what the building might look like. It's not done that way. Just give it to the Toronto firm. Same currency. Easier C.A. And easier, being in CA. No pun intended.
When, and why, did BC Place's Stadium, at the upper right, get its roof redone? I remember the inflated look, as seen from street level.
Support your local community by hiring architects from overseas. Assholes.
Harsh! I'm Canadian and have roots in Vancouver--and I see no problem with looking beyond our borders.
Lian, you can then look to a design firm in Quebec. That's a foreign country ... in spirit. It once almost became one.

they are turning architecture into a drama filled reality show ! YES now it will become popular and we can make some money again!
Nice coincidence that boht diller socfideio and wiliam tsien are on the short list. Did I not just post on the Folk Musem thread that these firms are just doing the bidding of the elite master and have little choice when it comes to preventing the destruction of the Folk Museum?
It'll be interesting to see who gets this commission and, more generally, how the careers of dillsco and willtsein progress in the future.
