Gliding through the air on a bike might so far be confined to the fantasy realms of singing nannies and aliens in baskets, but riding over rooftops could one day form part of your regular commute to work, if Norman Foster has his way.
Unveiled this week, in an appropriately light-headed vision for the holiday season, SkyCycle proposes a network of elevated bike paths hoisted aloft above railway lines, allowing you to zip through town blissfully liberated from the roads.

I think it's just an imagine but it's also a forward seeding to protect the environment. Good thinking!
The problem with putting bikes in the air is that you have to get up there. It's a pain in the ass peddling up hill and slightly dangerous coasting downhill.
The juxtaposition with trains is a bit odd too. I can imagine that everytime one was stuck on a crowded train, they'd be thinking "I shouldve biked today" but then we they're up there biking & freezing the ass off, they'd be thinking "Should've taken the trrain today"
