Even though this exhibition won't open at Cooper-Hewitt until May, I am mentioning it now 'cause it sounds so good. “Design for the Other 90%” will be divided into sections focusing on food, water, shelter, health and sanitation, education, energy and transportation and highlights objects developed to empower global populations surviving under the poverty level or recovering from a natural disaster. A full gamut of humanitarian design, with all the tribes coming out to play. Be prepared, don't miss it.
