Níall McLaughlin wins the 2016 RIBA Jencks Award
Níall McLaughlin is the latest recipient of the RIBA Jencks Award for architectural practice and theory. McLaughlin represented Ireland in the 2016 Venice Biennale and designed projects like the Bishop Edward King Chapel and the Olympic Athlete's Housing for the 2012 London Games.
Inaugural Fuller Challenge Student Winner CHHAT works to find a “universal building solution”
For the first time, student-run projects went face to face in their own category in the 2016 Fuller Challenge. Inspired by Buckminster Fuller's design principles and geodesic domes, The Center for Human Habitat and Alternative Technology (CHHAT) from the Vadodara Design Academy in Gujarat, India was named the first Student Category Winner.
The search is on for the UK Holocaust Memorial design team

Plans for the UK's national Holocaust Memorial are moving forward. British Prime Minister Theresa May officially announced the call for Expressions of Interest. The winning team will design the new memorial and a below-ground public Learning Centre located beside Parliament in London's Victoria Tower Gardens.
Immerse yourself in the “Living Coastline” at Denmark's Wadden Sea
Designed by a British-Danish collective, this pared down installation comprises 1,000 wooden poles that respond to the changing tides and winds of the Wadden Sea. Visitors will also find that they can digitally interact with the installation.
Eight finalist designs revealed in Lord Stanley’s Gift Public Art competition
Eight design teams have eight contrasting visions for Lord Stanley's Monument, a proposed public landmark dedicated to Lord Stanley and Canada's diehard hockey culture. The public can give feedback on the finalist designs until October 7.
