Exit through louver?

NoNameNum3

Hi, so I'm looking for some sort of precedent here...or anything really.

I've got a building with a psuedo double skin that has, as you would expect, exit doors. We are running into issues detailing these doors because the facade system is composed of a series of metal louvers on the diagonal. We don't want to frame out each exit door (there are quite a few) and stop the louvers at the frame as this would result in an orthogonal opening surrounded by skewed louvers.

Does anyone have any experience with or have seen anywhere some exit doors that pass through louvers while retaining the louvers on the door?

You should explore attaching the lovuver to the door and use extended or angled hinges to get it to swing properly. Might need to use a wider door. Just detail it properly and will be almost seamless. I did something similar a few years back.
