alot harder. I could show you about 10 floor plans that look and are rendered almost identically. But its worth a try
judging on the size of the outdoor deck I'm guessing somewhere warm, but not too warm as can be seen on the size of the trees, thinness of the wallness, etc. A part of me immediately jumped to Rick Joy, but I want to think its somewhere below the equator say Australia, Argentina, Brazil, or Chile.
It was actually completed about a year after Koenig was working on #22. Interesting how the breadth of modernism included so many regions at the same time. The only other picture I can find online is this grainy interior shot:
I'll post some other projects by the same architect in a few.
Well done Orhan. I wish more existed on the house I posted, I would love to see some drawings but information is scarce online. The publication that was released in tandem with that exhibit seems to be obscure as well.
SDR, yes. glen small worked for morris. he appearently leaves near yoshemite. pictures were fom postcards he made of the houses. if you send me your address i will send you a series of 5-6 postcards. i have a whole bunch glen gave me.
those are amazing counter weight lift up steel frame openings. i wish i could go up to yoshemite and talk to him. glen gave me his number and said he loves to talk about architecture! he must be in his 90's.
i admit, i knew about his apartment building above echo park lake but i didn't know much about these houses and never seen them. when i saw the pictures i said "wow this is better than schindler," both glen and ray kappe looked at me and said "as good as." .;.))
Name that Architect and Building!!!
Am I the only one who finds that 420 fits ?
The last one was Skanderborggade Day Care Centre by Dorte Mandrup.
yikes this dropped all the way to the third page, anyone have something?
back on page 37 no one got a response to my post, the building was Cavallo Point - the Retreat at the Golden Gate by Leddy Maytum Stacy Architects
I guess I'll go
**bump**
come one folks play along
sorry a, not go idea...
the architects are French
Delicious, whatever it is. . .
based on the colours, i'd say Faidherbe & Pinto architectes
but i can't find that project on their website
nope sorry Holz.... they are pretty famous too! If it helps they were previously featured in 40 under 40
Is it N+B Architectes? It looks like their work, but I can't find it on their website.
Its Beckmann & N'Thepe's Maison a Vivre
Kubo got it!! You are up
I actually meant a different N+B, but I'll take it. Hehe
This should be pretty easy:
Kait Workshop
Kanagawa Institute of Technology
Junya Ishigami Architects
woops:
Yay -- explanatory data. Photos don't tell the whole story, do they ? And drawings -- those things you guys labor over -- are fun to look at, too. . .
Yeah,
Thought I would try a plan and see how we go.
Might be harder... Might not be.

Its Spanish, and it has a very nice symmetrical roof with an internal gutter...
aballs & herreros, casa en el campo?
Well done.
woot woot. someone else run with it. i've got to bust out some schematics
holz thats' insane that you got that, impressive
here's an essay one to keep us going
atp
the spanish w/ internal gutter gave it away, it's been making the roudns lately.
actually have no clue on yours but i really like it... it has a johnson schmaling feel to it, though
yea very similar to Schmaling but no... its in the US though
hey, i know this one. it's been posted in the archinect gallery for some time...
Well that made it easier:
La Dallman architects - Levy House (Fox Point, WI)
how 'bout some history:
whoa...
P Koenig on steroids ! News to me. . .

Is it north or south of the equator. . .?
three projects by the same architect.
award;
winner gets a postcard of each!
shades of brazile or chile...
SDR - south-eastern Europe. He's still alive and building today, his portfolio includes mostly private residential and tourist hotel in the area.
a couple of other projects:
and the architect's own house (not the one above)
brazil?
bump.
here's a hint for mine: Περιφέρεια Αττικής
greek
so then i'd say Pericles Sakellarios
Ah good guess holz, but ney. This architect is still alive (I belive). This picture of another of his buildings should do it:
in that case, a little research;
Nikos Valsamakis
damn

Still no idea on the architect of your buildings.
Orhan: Let's try Allyn Morris.
The first of the trio of colored photos above seems to be of his own house in LA. Other photos show up on this thread:

Your shot is a unique over (or under)view. Nice ! (Yes, those are little blue-green tiles under the eaves, and in the kitchen. . .)
